Our Lady of Angels Shrine

A simple but beautiful, outdoor Shrine honoring Our Lady of Angels!  A five foot statue of Our Blessed Mother, surrounded by four angels. (All of white, fine Italian marble.) Benches where people can sit and pray. Plants and shrubs beautifying the Shrine area.

The primary purpose of Our Lady of Angels Association is to promote and spread devotion to Our Blessed Mother under her title of Our Lady of Angels.

This was our purpose for erecting this Shrine on the Campus of Niagara University. The Shrine is a place where our members and benefactors can come and pray. It is a visible witness to the students, staff and faculty at the University of Our Blessed Mother’s presence on Campus.

The dedication and blessing of our new, outdoor Shrine took place on Thursday, August 26, 1999.  Most Rev. Henry J. Mansell, D.D. the Bishop of Buffalo, celebrated the Mass and delivered the homily.  From the chapel, we processed to the Shrine where Bishop Mansell prayed the blessing.

About twenty-three priests were present for the celebration.  Over three hundred of our members attended. All who attended were very happy with the Shrine.  They found it to be a beautiful tribute in honor of Our Lady of Angels.

We have recently completed a maintenance project on the Shrine including cleaning of the statues benches and base. We also have replaced the wooden backdrop panel with a vinyl pergola style structure. The beauty of Our Lady of Angels Shrine (above) can be enjoyed for many more years to come.

We also maintain an indoor shrine where individuals have votive lights lit for their intentions.
