Our Lady of the Rosary: Give the Gift of Prayer to a Student

On October 7, the Church celebrates the Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, honoring Mary’s invitation to draw closer to her Son through this beautiful and powerful prayer.

The Rosary has been a source of peace, courage, and hope for countless generations of Catholics. It invites us to meditate on the life of Christ while placing our joys, struggles, and intentions into the loving hands of our Blessed Mother. For college students facing the pressures of academics, relationships, discernment, and life’s uncertainties, the Rosary can become a daily reminder that they are never alone.

Throughout the year, students come to our campus ministry searching for community, purpose, and a deeper relationship with Christ. Many are eager to learn how to pray the Rosary, while others simply need one of their own to begin. A Rosary often becomes much more than a sacramental—it becomes a constant companion during late-night study sessions, moments of anxiety, times of discernment, and celebrations of God’s blessings.

This Feast of Our Lady of the Rosary, you can help place that gift into a student’s hands.

A gift of just $15 (wooden Rosary) or $20 (blue Rosary with earth from Jerusalem) provides one student with a Rosary and a “How to Pray the Rosary” pamphlet—a simple yet profound gift that can accompany them throughout their college years and beyond. Your generosity helps ensure that every student who desires a Rosary has the opportunity to receive one and discover the peace that comes from spending time with Christ through Mary’s intercession.
